My husband and I were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and with so many travel restrictions in the pandemic era, picking the right destination, a hotel careful with safety protocols and a nice room for a memorable experience was not that easy. In Mexico, particularly in the coastal state of Jalisco, one of the most magical places along the coastline is Puerto Vallarta. The city is a charming small town where the lush green mountains of the Sierra Madre Mountains meet the sparkling blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. After checking the couples experiences around the city, it was easy to choose where our wedding anniversary would be celebrated next.

Grand Fiesta Americana, the perfect hotel in Puerto Vallarta

With so many options of all-inclusive resorts and luxury boutique hotels, choosing where to stay can be overwhelming in a beautiful city like Puerto Vallarta. What do you value most? Gourmet meals? With a privileged location in the Hotel Zone and a full range of unique services, the Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive and Spa seemed to be an amazing place to relax our body and spirits celebrating one more happy year in a upscale contemporary Mexican-style room with private balcony and the best part: a stunning ocean view.  We found so many great resorts in the area but Fiesta Americana had tons of great reviews. The variety of restaurants, the range of therapeutic services, the Beach Club with infinity pool, so many good reasons to dream about our next holiday.

Suite Möet, the best suite at Grand Fiesta Americana in Puerto Vallarta

If picking a good hotel wasn’t enough, the last big step was looking for the perfect room. Because we were celebrating not only one more wedding anniversary, but 10 years, we felt this occasion should be even more special. Then, after research about special packages we discovered that under the La Coleccion Resorts by Fiesta Americana brand, Grand Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta opened their new Suite Möet to guests. The place was originally known as the Party Master Suite, which had been given a complete makeover after the resort’s partnership with Möet Chandon. The decision was made, Suite Möet sounded like the perfect place for us to celebrate our first decade together.

Our experience at Suite Möet at Fiesta Americana

As soon as we arrived at the airport, someone from the hotel was waiting for us. At the hotel, we skipped the lines and our check in was in the resort Grand Club, which is a separate area for VIP guests where we were welcomed with great drinks. When we arrived at our suite, it was a sequence of good experiences, starting with a complimentary bottle of Möet ICE Imperia, a carefully-garnished fruit platter, a king-sized bed full of rose petals and a giant private balcony with the most beautiful ocean view we could ask for.

The suite also featured a spacious living room, 2 bathrooms with fancy L’occitane amenities, fluffy robes, and a stocked mini-bar full of top-quality products such as Perrier water, Stella Artois beer and snacks. 

I believe the employees must have some kind of specific training to attend the couples with the pink wristlet. Everywhere we went, we were treated like royalty. The Suite Möet package also includes a relaxing treatment for two at the resort’s spa. The treatment features an invigorating body scrub, and a relaxing 30-minute massage followed by glasses of champagne with chocolate covered strawberries. We also had a charming cabana or we could choose between spending the day by the pool or in front of the beach every single day of our stay. One of those days, another Möet, this time a rose one, was also a courtesy for the couple. Even the elevator also has a particular button for Möet guests.

We could also enjoy the parties while listening to waves crashing from our private balcony. What a nice experience waking up, sleeping, watching the sunrise and the sunset in this scenic region with postcard views every single day of our trip.

Romantic dinner at Fiesta Americana in Puerto Vallarta

Could it be better? Yes! In addition to the romantic dining experience right on the suite’s spacious terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean provided in the package, we decided to pay extra to book a dinner at the beach. This was the highlight of our trip. The staff created an intimate outdoor dining experience. Stunning sunset, romantic music, great service, and delicious food, this was the most memorable moment of this trip!
