High Tea at Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building
Have you ever dreamed about visiting the Burj Khalifa? This global icon is the tallest building in the world. At 828m tall, the building represents the conceptual soul of the city of Dubai. Visitors can buy a ticket to enjoy the observation decks on the 124th and 125th floors, as well as the world’s highest observation deck on the 148th floor. We had the privilege to enjoy not only the view but an amazing high tea at the At.mosphere restaurant. I have no other words to describe this moment other than perfection.
High tea at Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest restaurant
First things first, when I was planning my trip to Dubai I was confused by “the Burjs”. While the Burj Al Arab is one of the world’s finest hotels, Burj Khalifa is the world’s tallest building. In this blog post we are talking about the experience at At.mosphere, the restaurant inside the Burj Khalifa.
Take the journey to enjoy the view.

The restaurant At.mosphere at Burj Khalifa
World-class dining and unique views, this is the experience at At.mosphere, sitting 442m above ground in the Burj Khalifa. Other than visiting the observation decks, another alternative to visit the building and enjoy the most stunning views of Dubai is to book a table on the At.mosphere, located on the 122nd level of the building. The restaurant is open from 7am to 10:30pm and in additional to the regular menu, the At.mosphere Lounge offers the morning breakfast in the clouds, (called in the clouds because you’ll probably will see a lot of foggy in the morning at that high), and the Afternoon Tea, which is the famous and luxurious high tea of Dubai.
The high tea at the At.mosphere Lounge
The high tea is one of the most luxurious experiences in Dubai. The fine restaurant is not only recognized by its acclaimed menu, but also for offering panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Can you imagine yourself experiencing the most luxurious meal at the world’s tallest building? It can’t be anything less than a remarkable experience, right?
As you can imagine, the VIP seat with one of the most beautiful views of Dubai must be booked in advance. You can easily make a reservation at the At.mosphere website and once confirmed you will receive an email with all details. There is a dress code, special entrance and so on. So, be prepared in advance. 😉
Our experience at the At.mosphere in the Burj Khalifa
We tried the famous high tea and the experience exceeded our expectations. We arrived at Burj Khalifa around 2pm and as requested the guests must use the Armani Hotel main entrance. The hotel offers valet service for the restaurant with no additional cost and someone hosts you from the front desk to the elevator. The views from the staircase are gorgeous. Arriving there, a musician was playing romantic songs on a violin while we enjoyed the beautiful views. Our server explained about the menu and brought us the sparking wine. Cheers!
You start off with the glasses of sparkling wine, followed by the Amuse Bouche, which is two little cones of mince chicken served in a Burj stand presented in a very dramatic dry ice effect. Fancy and beautiful.
The next was the chef’s finest finger sandwiches, called Declinations. It is 6 sandwiches prepared freshly for you. They were so pretty that it was hard to eat.
For the main course you have two choices, chicken ballotine or the catch of the day, we choose the second one. Again, the plates were carefully prepared and beautifully presented.
And last, we finally had the Afternoon Tea, the chef’s selection of pastries. The meal includes the unlimited selection of hot and refreshing beverages.
How much is the high tea at Burj Khalifa
Although I saw the menu before, I was expecting some fine pastries with a variety of teas. However, it felt more like a 4-course lunch, with an afternoon tea set slotted in between. The price is fix and the guests have 3 options:
- AED 503 per person including Sparkling Wine (window table) ~ $130/per person
- AED 430 per person including Sparkling Wine (non-window table)
- AED 664 per person including Champagne
We choose option number 1, which is the less expensive, but has the best views.
The taxes and 10% service is also added to the final bill. You can also choose the a la carte menu, but there a minimum spend of AED 200 and a smart/ elegant dress code applies, which means no sports clothes or flip-flops. More details here. (The coffee with gold flakes is not included.
It’s pricey, but this was a lifetime experience for us and we loved every second.
